College Basketball 2021-22 Open Discussion

A few pieces of transfer news.

Key didn’t play last year for Indiana St. due to injury and is going to be a 6th year COVID senior. In his sophomore through senior years at ISU, he had ORTGs between 110 and 118 on USGs between 22-25%. 38% career 3P shooter at 6’3 with middling assist numbers, seems like a pure 2 and solid pickup for Tennessee.

BVP is mostly relevant because his final 6 included OSU, Wisconsin and Illinois so it’s nice to see him not go to a B1G school.

And Hunter to Kansas would suck. Like obviously good for him and absolutely no ill will towards him following the money/opportunity to play at a bigger school, but it does suck to see likeable P6 schools lose star players within the conference.

This is an interesting, creative, progressive idea to solve a real problem…I wish someone would have done that for NIL.

I’ve missed bracket busters for a while so all in for this idea.

Honestly I wish the major conferences would get involved too. Or at minimum, move the early season conference matchups back to January/February (like the Big 12-SEC challenge) and schedule the #1 seeds against each other, the #2 seeds against each other, etc. Would prefer those are KP ranks but most likely would be conference standings or the like. I know it won’t happen, but it would be so much more fun that way

Totally on board with this idea. I heard Bilas on his podcast after the season say that CBKB has to look at moving prime non-conference inventory into February and thought it was an interesting idea.

Would like to see the Power 6 get involved. It seems like every year come end of Feb/early March Dylan and BQ are saying how the B1G just looks sick of beating each other up, everybody is feisty, Bo is T-ing up every little thing…I wonder if this would be good timing for the league to take a little break.

Kalscheur was a freshman the same year as Iggy Brazdeikis. To be fair, so was Jaelin Llewellyn, it just feels like forever ago.

Here’s to a fifth straight season of declining ORtg and 3P%!

Wonder how we’ll matchup against these boys once we know our lineup

Don’t they need to start Fredrick for some spacing? That starting five would be stankonius from outside

Tough to scout us if we never have our roster finalized. /s

• “Rachel Baker, a Nike executive who led ‘Event Strategy’ for the EYBL, expressed concern to a colleague about carrying large amounts of cash through airport security and indicated that she would lie and ‘just say I just sold my car’ if she got stopped,” according to the motion.

Duke isn’t going to stop you can’t compete with that. Well you could but one school will continue to be the best in the morality conference.

My wild take re: Kentucky is that Cason Wallace will be their best player because I saw a couple of his AAU games when he looked incredible

That Kentucky team is going to be painful from 3. It’s built like an elite team from the 70s. I think they will have to start Fredrick. They could even use Baker in a major way

Duke went from money adjacent to money-in-residence. Good luck to Ms. Baker on what will likely be an exhaustive search to cobble together bits of spare change for those poor Duke players.

I’m with you Cason looks like he’s gonna be awesome. Also a great 2-way player
