Everyone wants the next Juwan but they keep hiring dudes with zero charisma.

I donā€™t think Payne is that similar to Howard. He has 16 years of major conference experience as an assistant and 6 as an associate head coach.

6 years seems to be a bit excessive? Especially when you just bounced the last coach pretty quickly.

Think it would be big for OSU to have Kyle Young back in their lineup. He certainly was a difference maker in our first game against OSU.

Not that Iā€™m all that much of a fan of our AD, but over at Louisville in particular they really seem to specialize in making bad choices.

Interested to see how this goes. 2 good years out of 3 at SF but Kyle Smith really revived that program before Golden got there. Goldenā€™s 2nd year was bad, but it was also a COVID year. Think this could be a really good hire, or another Mike White.

Well the I guess 6 year deals are standard now. Good to know.

THIS IS MARCH!

Might be the closest to appearing in March that Archie ever gets.

Rhode Island is Archie Island.

Did Norlander take credit for getting the deal done?

I was thinking maybe they had to go long because they bounced the prior coach early (like a ā€œprove you wonā€™t just run me out fast tooā€ thing), but maybe 6 is just becoming normal.

WOW. Characters.

This Trey Alexander kid for Creighton is what I expect Kobe Bufkin to be for us next year.

I honestly think itā€™s in him. I know we havenā€™t seen it yet, but I think he has it in him.

ā€¦ Turgeonā€™s dream too. :joy:

Turgeonā€™s dream is to go back to Wichita Stateā€¦which if they have another bad year they might be looking for another coach so itā€™s still possible.
