Louisville should hire Bruce pearl, also have to wonder if Mack is kicking himself for taking the ul job with all the sanctions. Could have been a lifer at Xavier or probably been the favorite for the Osu and Michigan job.

he has to agree to take the job though

Bring back Pitino from exile.

Where did things go wrong with Mack?? Obviously the Gaudio stuff did him in but what exactly did Mack do wrong that made Mack get sent to the farm? Side note didnā€™t realize Mack was already 53.

Seems like the team basically quit on him very openly But yeah pretty wild fall from grace since being ranked #1 about 2 years ago

Chin Coleman is animated on the Kentucky sideline tonight

UCLA certainly has a remarkable ability to make opponent miss shots right around the basket.

One factor is that heā€™s a very unlikeable guy and Steele did all of his recruiting for him.

Soā€¦worse people than East Coast Providence and less cosmopolitan than Louisville (allegedly according to Mrs. Pitino). Those who want to sleep on A2 as a city can keep on doing it.

I absolutely love telling DC people that Ann Arbor has better food, and that you donā€™t have to go out to a strip mall in the suburbs to find it.

Man, thatā€™s an absolutely wild take to have. I like Ann Arbor but DC has arguably the most diverse and robust collection of eateries in the entire country. And this is coming from a person who thinks DC is one of the most boring and unremarkable major cities theyā€™ve ever been to.

A hill Iā€™ll die on. DC has celebrity-chef stuff and artisanal whatnot, but the city itself has few ethnic neighborhoods until you get out to the suburbs, which is why DC folks go to beltway strip malls for ethnic restaurants. We moved to Baltimore two years ago. Better food here too. I think a good chunk of what makes the DC food scene what it is the priority the pre-Bezos Washington Post placed on its food writer.

Man, I love DC and never fully understood the hate. I live in Boston now and have for the past 5.5 years but still flirt with the idea of moving back down to DC every year or so. Hard for me to speak to the food scene thereā€“I was a poor graduate student when I lived there and didnā€™t eat out much outside of trash food and the occasional happy hourā€“but the night life is interesting and varied, far more so than in Ann Arbor of course but even Boston.

IMO thereā€™s nothing too wrong with DC, and lots of capital cities a lot more boring. DC has a lot of things going for it. Just not great food.

Jim Boeheim being his usual charming self

 Bad form for any coach, but gotta love how when people get older they start bringing the honesty.
