If anyone watched the SMU-Memphis game while waiting for Purdue IU you got to see possibly the worst 4 minutes of college basketball ever. 4-0 SMU. 5 turnovers by Memphis. And theyâve managed to not turn it over the last minute

Heâs going to be a good playerâŚbut the drama makes you wonder if it is worth it.
I say yes. He will go for 50 when he faces Izzo. It may take him 75 to 80 shots to get those 50 points but I believe he can do it.

In the midst of a very disappointing season and losing with high expectations you can go two routes.

I can understand that Memphis is going to struggle with Williams and Nolley out for the last few games especially against an experienced team like SMU but outside of their hot start they have been a disaster all season and their struggles can all be traced back to Pennyâs absolutely horrible coaching. He is a good recruiter of individual players but he has no clue of roster construction. His distribution of playing time makes no sense. His in game substitutions are weird as hell. He seems to have no sense of who plays well together. Worst of all, he seems to sabotage his team after every game by blaming different groups of players. Three weeks ago he was blaming the veterans for the struggles of the Freshman.
Yeah. Everything about this is exactly what it looks like it is. Not gonna end well.

Emoni Batesâ version of PG play is to dribble across the time line and jack up a three or drive one on 5 and force up a shot. Heâs not the only one to jack up bad shots, either. Itâs like some AAU squads where, if you pass the ball, you never get it back so everyone shoots. Duren is not utilized much. Canât believe that heâs happy.
