Big Ten Basketball 2022-23 Discussion

He’s also a zero offensively, though. That’s the issue. Really could have used Julius Marble on this team IMO.

Really good bringing the numbers into this but in the context of last nights game, I think he needed to go all in on the small lineup earlier. Though I guess Hauser’s foul trouble played a role in not going there sooner. But that game was an offensive shootout and I don’t think anything he tried with the other bigs was going to change that.

Basically, the moment was going to be way too big for Mady Sissoko and Carson Cooper.

hard pass. stinky

Miller Kopp is a merely adequate player, but he’s a funny guy. (#48 made me laugh)

‘63. Schools that recruit NY and Texas seem to win a lot of games’

Huh. I know this might just be a function of these two being the largest states but I wonder if there’s anything to this statement.

I don’t think Miller Kopp has done much deep analysis into that statement. He’s from Texas so he’s a tad biased

feel like i heard somewhere something about NYC point guards but it slips the mind … anyway, something to look into.

Texas guys are everywhere as far as impact on CBB lately. Deep pool of talent, a ton of great AAU programs.

For sure, it’s a gigantic state

California is bigger than both of those but in terms of recruits per capita, I don’t think it ranks all that highly. Florida is the third biggest state (bigger than NY) but it seems more of a football state.

NY is definitely a basketball state and TX just seems to be a sports state in general.

Fun thread

I like Miller Kopp. That was like the ‘Always wear sunscreen’ song of twitter basketball posts.

This is like commenting that a girl isn’t pretty when she’s playing the oboe.

Looks like Hauser is not taking a COVID year at State. Sorry if that’s old news. Just saw it this evening.

Pretty sure this was his COVID year. He might have had a case for some sort of medical waiver I believe.
