I am now firmly into “Spite-Rooting”. Go Gophers.
Well, we’re going to eat poo on this game too. I believe Emerson originally said that.
Lol Wisconsin
MN and WI both trying desperately to lose.
Cliff Omoruyi literally can’t do anything but dunk.
Dylan, if someone had shown you that table before the season without the conference records how would you have felt about Michigan’s performance as a team knowing some of the challenges we faced this season?
Also, is there a way to project records with expected outcomes for the games that each team didn’t play? Would be curious to see how a truly balanced 26 game schedule would have changed the standings.
Even with Michigan’s performance in close games, the problem is really outside of this chart.
The non-conference is really what’s holding this team back. Evident by the fact that every other 11-9 team is in position to make it.
So, you say the EM stats say maybe U-M should have 12 or 13 wins… sure, but that happens.
You can’t lose home games to CMU and UVA in the non-conference though.
If you showed me that chart back on January 1st with the records and W% omitted and gave me $10 to bet on every B1G 10 individual game this season straight up, I bet I’d still have lost money.
Michigan +2500 is good value. I’d place money on MSU, Illinois, and Michigan.
Illinois seems like a great value pick to me.
I like our draw better than the 7, 6, 5 seeds
I’d rather be getting Rutgers than that Nebraska team, and Wisconsin isn’t good but they have some weird black magic force field I want to avoid
Give me OSU over Wisconsin in the opener and Illinois to come out of the bottom half of the bracket.
At those odds and with the way they are playing, I don’t think that Nebraska is a bad value at all.
In what world does Rutgers have better odds to win the BTT than Iowa?! I know it’s a close amount but IMO Rutgers should be down around Wisconsin or OSU.
MSU and Illinois would be my best bets
Almost feel like throwing $10 on the Huskers myself, but I won’t because I’m too scared to gamble.
