He’s going to be in for a shock when he realizes that Big Ten centers aren’t 6’3
Team Ozone has a player who is the first and only player ever from my high school to play pro
Nice pickup
Ngl, getting a little antsy for a commitment of our own
I saw Middleton tied DJ Carton as the highest ranked Holtmann recruit. Then I remembered DJ Carton.
I will allow that submission. #izzo2024
You’re getting Kante in a week or two.
!!! everyone’s fave Rutgers fan with the insider info. Now do Collier plz
I sense a Big Boutros reverse jinx attempt with this post.
Appreciate seeing a sizzle reel for the guy since he’s getting at least a bit of hype. If he’s a stretch 5 who can pick and pop and protect the rim, then I can see it? Don’t think I would bet on the shooting just knowing his numbers though. And he looks to me like he really needs to load up to get up, so I dk about the rim protection either. His STL% was pretty decent especially for his size, so maybe he’s switchable. But also seems plausible he’s just a 4 who can slide his feet but can’t create much or really shoot it.
Also, while there is a ton of usage available without Kofi around, there is also no one to suck in the entire defense and free up those shooters on the perimeter. Kofi changed everything you did against Illinois because he was such a massive force in the paint. While he didn’t ever pass, he still dictated what their opponent did. Illinois is going to be a fascinating team this year - lots of good parts, not quite sure how they all will fit together.
Theoretically, if Hawkins is full time 5, then he should have some offensive mismatches against opposing centers. The question will be if that actually is something that is realized. He was 5/25 from 3 in B1G play
The whispers on the paid Rutgers board is that Michigan is the favorite. So yeah you kinda nailed it
“It’s Coleman Hawkins time” - Coleman Hawkins
For Papa Kante correct?
not having espn for basketball could be a major deal
Interesting. Doesn’t really mention a plan for basketball. Much prefer ESPNs presentation but them losing Bennetti is a blow to their B1G basketball coverage. Losing him, Tirico and having Dakich go off the wagon is a blow to their product in the past few years.
Of course NBC is a complete unknown and CBS does a nice job with their national games but not sure on the CBSSN games.
guessing a lot of fs1, so probably some horrible news for big east
