Yes that’s what I meant if you take his spilts/efficiencies now then absolutely not but I was looking at it from the perspective of if he had stayed and never left. His sophomore year he had pretty solid spilts at Michigan
I wanted DDJ to be the next Walton …but he’s never figured it out. Maybe in a universe where Beilein stayed and groomed him to be the next PG, but even then it seemed like JB wasnt in love with him.
We were spoiled last year because we basically survived with two guards all year and playing Chaundee with one of them sometimes even though he was more of a forward. Smith and Brooks played a ton of minutes.
I think Jones is going to be fine…but not good enough to the point where he is locked in for 30 minutes. The team needs a third guard and really Bufkin is the guy that could fix our rotation issues. He’s just not ready yet.
Couple of Big Ten teams with huge halftime leads (Northwestern over Georgia by 20).
But yeah, that Wisconsin box score is
I am in disbelief at that score
I’m in more belief of the current score.
Wisconsin proving many people wrong. Not surprised.
This is much more how I saw this game going
They had a hot shooting first half. Beat A&M who stinks and lost to Providence. Don’t see how this is proving anything wrong
They have a lot of new players with low expectations and nothing to lose. Those teams are often most dangerous. They’re rarely going to beat themselves either low turnover rate and low possessions. Davis looks great as well.
Badgers moving up the B1G power rankings
Watching KSU v Illinois and while I cannot stand the B1G’s performance in the preseason, it’s gotten to the point where I want the Team Banner of the Scorned to lose all the games. All of them.
This why it’s so dangerous to move off gard, style of play can be so brutal to watch but it works great for an under dog type program and the floor is so high for it. Personally am surprised more underdog high major programs haven’t tried to replicate the style.
I sickens me to say it, but I was actually jealous watching Wisconsin play (and Johnny Davis in particular). It is hard to imagine us having that kind of performance against a team as good as Houston at this point.
Is it that hard to imagine? I understand that Michigan hasn’t played well this year but saying they aren’t capable of playing against a team like Houston on a neutral?
I’m watching Gonzaga and they’re in a different stratosphere compared to other teams. They have big time returning guys, improved players like Strawther, big time recruits and an influential transfer in Bolton. Everything you want in a team.
DeVante Jones.
yikes dude, out of all the teams to be jealous of, you pick Wisconsin as the one that makes your heart flutter for the good old days?
hmmmm
