Big Ten Basketball 2020-21 Discussion (Part 1)

Turns out Iowa’s defensive strategy of giving the other team a bunch of wide open looks isn’t the best idea.

What’s the basis for the Gard hate?

Lets just hope Wisconsin brings this on Christmas.

Also Indiana in a fight with Butler with under 12 to go. Butler doesn’t look to be great this year and their starting PG is out so this is a game Indiana probably needs to win.

In all fairness to Iowa, I think Gonzaga is an elite elite team that only comes around every couple years.

Wow holding Iowa to .89 PPP is as impressive as their shooting

Just let him eat, not much we can do.

Butler has missed an incredible amount of easy bunnies today. Good for the Big Ten, I guess. But I dislike seeing Archie succeed.

Yup. Let Garza get his. The key is to limit the others - can’t let Wieskamp, Fredrick or Bohannon get going.

Doing a great job cleaning up the boards and a little 3 point luck. Surprised it’s that low, Iowa has had them scrambling a lot as they double Garza and have been very aggressive trying to jump passing lanes.

Both teams shot the lights out from three (Gonzaga and Wisconsin) so should be interesting second halves.

Play By Play Guy: “Does Archie Miller ever look happy?”

Color Commentator: “No.”

Best announcer dialogue I’ve heard this year

Breathed the same oxygen as Bo Ryan is good enough for me

Wisconsin-Louisville commentator re-playing on Christmas:

“Since you can’t let the players go home for the holidays you might as well play”

This is such an awful justification for the scheduling lol

I don’t like that every year I predict he will reveal himself as a fraud and then Wisconsin is really good yet again
