Little concerned the rest of the way for Michigan. Facing Garza/Cockburn and MSU is just going to maul Dickinson. Indiana has a talented big but Michigan should provide them bigger issues.
Ecstatic that MSU beat Illinois for #Bannerz. Now terrified of playing MSU twice and not totally steamrolling them both times.
Sorry â- didnât see the game. Did MSU Hack-a-Kofi? Their Cs has ~18 fouls. How many on K? How many were just Hacks?
didnât watch the entire game but for the stretch i watched, Illinois tried very hard not to score.
Tiers:
A: Michigan
B: Illinois, Iowa, Ohio State
C: Wisconsin, Purdue
D: Rutgers, Indiana, Maryland
E: Penn State, Minnesota, Michigan State
F: Northwestern, Nebraska
Nebraska really merits its own bottom tier, like the lowest rung of basketball hell.
I donât think they are much worse than Northwestern⌠and Nebraska seems to be getting better while Northwestern is getting worse.
I disagree. It is about time Nebraska got some company! Northwestern has lost 13 straight games. I suspect that their margin since that mysterious 3-0 start is just as bad or worse than Nebraska.
I respect you guysâ more knowledgeable opinion. I just glanced at the plus-three efficiency margin differential and noticed that it echoed the distance between Michigan and Illinois above; half a point narrower. . . Letâs just say any winning percentage below .200 blows!
It was curious to me that at the beginning of the game they had a graphic reviewing MSUâs resume. Under bad losses, it said none. I would have to imagine Northwestern would count as a bad loss, correct?
Looks like Northwestern is still 96 in the NET. Iâm guessing if they fall below the arbitrary number of 100 then it becomes a bad loss. But then again, that might not even do it since it wouldnât fall to a Q3 loss unless NW drops below 135
@Northwestern is a quad 2 game. Only if they fell below 135 in NET would that become a Quad 3 loss for MSU
Pretty wild that losing to a 5-14 team isnât considered a bad loss
the metrics are scared of Pete Nance
How soon can Michigan cinch the B1G title? Would a win Thursday do it?
Nope.
Our magic number is 3. Meaning the combined total of games we win and Illinois loses needs to reach 3 to clinch the title. So we can clinch as soon as Saturday technically
Edit: and technically we have a magic number of 2 for each of Ohio State and Iowa, and a magic number of 1 for Purdue.
Iâd rather clinch it Thursday so we can get some of our pride back after so shamelessly ducking Illinois.
P.S. In an ironic autocorrect failure (or success?), I almost had this comment caught by the filters unintentionally. Would have been funny if the one time I actually meant to write âduckingâ it didnât work out after the myriad texts to my friends that accidentally become about ducks.
His dad gets really mad and yells a lot when he doesnât get enough minutes
