Big Ten Basketball 2020-21 Discussion (Part 1)

Yeah, my productivity level as of 10:30am on Monday morning is not a good sign for my clients for the next month+.

I am extremely thankful the Iowa game is a 7 PM tipoff instead of 9 PM.

Had a flashback to 2017 when I shared a small office with a coworker, and watched the Michigan-Ok St tournament game on my computer while trying not to draw attention to myself. Work productivity that day<<<<<

that was St. Patrickā€™s Day and it was an early game. I recall the game vividly. My recall of the rest of the day is lacking.

Me personally today: telling myself if I waste too much time in the morning on this, I have to give work an hour in the evening, and then I might not have much time to rewatch the game.

(this isnā€™t fully working, but Iā€™m trying!)

Iā€™ve never been so pumped for an ugly game as I am for Indiana @ Rutgers on Wednesday. Either team could knock itself out of the field, although Rutgers has a little more wiggle room. Itā€™s going to be very tense.

I was flying to New York that day for a Golovkin fight and had to board with 10 minutes to go in the game. Oklahoma State was the real deal. I must point out that Michigan remains undefeated while Iā€™m flying! I donā€™t know how, but I somehow got cell service 30,000 feet in the air and saw the final score.

I know! I donā€™t usually become so unproductive for several more weeks!

I predict a seventh round TKO for Rutgers.

Iā€™m not surprised at OSU mostly staying put on AP poll and flipped spot with Illini in the coaches poll. No way that they would fall out of top 5 after yesterdayā€™s game. Iā€™m glad that OSU didnā€™t get punished for losing this game

I donā€™t care what OSU gets punished for ā€“ we all know thereā€™s plenty. I just care that they get punished.

And this is with, what, three weeks of no games and still a couple of weeks left in the regular season? Quite an accomplishment for the young manā€¦and for his coaches who have taken that talent, and guided it, molded it, and helped developed it. His teammates have a hand in it, too, as they have provided leadership and have also provided guidance to the freshman.

Boutros, there is no way that Indiana wins this game. The fact that Indiana is against the wall nearly guarantees they lose - they have mastered the art of losing games they have in hand.

I think we were all fairly stunned by their MSU meltdown. Even by Archie standards that was unexpected.

Peripherally, and this could be a result of not paying enough attention, it is mystifying to me that it sounds as if Mark Turgeon is ā€œcoaching for his jobā€ moreso than Archie Miller.

It seems as if Indiana has become late-state Bruce Weber/John Groce Illinois.
