I looked it up and apparently the last scholarship went to Jack Hoiberg before the season started since they had a free one.
Also MSU only lists 3 walk-ons on their roster, which seems low. Those walk-ons are Steven Izzo, Jack Hoiberg and Davis Smith (son of former MSU guard Steve Smith). Apparently to walk-on at MSU you just need to have a famous dad.

Hoggard had a solid start to the game but has been bad down the stretch. Got burned late shot clock by Hunter earlier leading to Henry’s second, commits a charge the next possession, and then an unnecessary foul to pick up his 2nd and give Purdue FTs with 4 seconds left in the half.
I missed the beginning… why is Watts out there? Wasn’t he sick and/or transferring?

agree, the 5s looked better than usual on offense.
And they still somehow have fewer shots (by one) than Purdue.
So, do we think Henry just leaves or does he not want his MSU legacy to be this team?

so I guess as long as you don’t have covid it’s still okay to play while you’re sick and possibly contagious with some other virus that we haven’t identified yet
