Connor McCaffrey with classic McCaffrey line: 0 points, 1 rebound, 0 assists.

Nobody argued a better seed would not help. What I suggest is that your seed has little to do with how good of a team you have or how likely you are to beat a given opponent.

It’s supposed to. That’s why they do it.

Garza just drew two of the more ridiculous fouls between that charge and that cylinder call.

Mulcahy trying to make people forget about Brad Davison.

I know he’s a “star”, buy never in my life watching basketball have I seen a player like Garza get so many whistles. He’s a big, burly, earth bound, physical, unathletic center. Most guys like that get called for more fouls than they draw. Garza gets calls despite throwing elbows, getting in the way, plowing into guys, etc.

Iowa found the game where the “give up open threes” defensive strategy works.

There are a lot of things to dislike about the way Rutgers plays, but the weird one is how they seem to take turns handing out green lights for long iso 2s. Last year it was famously Geo, this year it has been Harper, Geo, Young, and tonight McConnell, all one at a time.

The good news is that at 4/6, they’re shooting far above their season free throw percentage.

I continue to believe that Chi SHOULD be a great town to coach a college team in (okay, Evanston, and okay corruption). But maybe not for Chris Collins to coach a college team in?

Rutgers isn’t playing poorly in the 2H. Just trading 2s for 3s.

You can’t shoot 10% from three and beat Iowa.

Crazy how CJ Fredrick’s presence on the floor for 17 minutes was enough to force Rutgers to shoot 14% from three.

Rutgers is the “ranked win” that keeps on giving. I was just joking about Ohio State racking up “ranked” wins over Rutgers and then they are back in the top 25. I’m still worried about Rutgers missing the tourney this year.
