Big Ten Basketball 2020-21 Discussion (Part 1)

Nance needs to ball up. He ain’t.

Nance overrated. NW has 5 points this half? 12 minutes in?

It’s entirely possible Michigan has been beating up on bad teams. I trust Kenpom though.

I hate hate hate this overused quote, but they are who we thought they are.

That could be, but I 100% believe they are really good and will beat some really good teams.

12 minutes into this half Northwestern has made one field goal.

they aren’t bad teams, they’re just not as good as others. And beating them by a lot is impressive

35-7 half for Illinois. Shame on NW.

Floor slap leads to a foul. Hah classic.

How is Ayo not in the NBA…

Illinois/Iowa/Michigan showing recent ability to go on huge runs. Is this the start of these teams starting to separate themselves from the pack?

That’s always the best part. Play the games. Prognostication is meaningless.

It feels that way, although I think you have to toss Wisconsin in there still. Interestingly, none of these teams have played each other

Illinois has single plays against Michigan and Iowa. Iowa has single plays against Illinois and Michigan. Which means Wisconsin has to play the other top tier 6 times compared to 4 for Iowa/Illinois/Michigan

As long as Wisconsin loses them all, I’m happy.

The announcers saying Dosunmu couldn’t dunk in HS made me look up his HS highlights because I couldn’t believe it. But it’s true, he was very much a below the rim player. Looked irrecognizable honestly. Incredible body transformation for him

50-13 half. Well done, Collins.

I think there’s an extremely good chance of Northwestern being bad. I see a lot of losses in their future.

I mean they’re 0-3 against Michigan/Iowa/Illinois and 3-0 against all other B1G teams. Doesn’t scream bad to me. 2 of their next 3 are against Illinois and Iowa as they have an absolutely brutal schedule the rest of the way (toughest conference schedule of anyone) so they will likely lose a lot of games but that doesn’t mean they are bad.

Maryland and NW hurting Michigan’s Kenpom. Down to 8th.

KenPom has the difference between Michigan as the 4th best team and OSU as 5th best team as the same as the gap between OSU and PSU the 11th best team.
