Remind me the next time I act surprised that road teams aren’t favored by much that Big Ten officials call fouls on free throw box outs resulting in 4-point swings for the home team
I just can’t get over the fact that Geo Baker is Rutgers 4th best player. It’s so funny.
He Novak’d him.
It’s making me money so I’m cool with it
This is like Kohl Center refs on steroids. If there was a quadruple bonus Illinois would be in it with 10 minutes to play
Probably need to rebound better if you’re gonna have Giorgi and Cockburn out there together
Rutgers playing harder than Illinois… Fouls have been an issue for Illinois a few times this year already. Bringing back some old school Underwood tendencies.
Rutgers is annoying to play against, but you can’t blame the refs when you elbow a guy who has been bothering you on a free-throw box out.
Also… playing Giorgi against Ron Harper is insanely stupid. Harper crushes big fours when they try to guard him, that’s his thing.
I get that Williams/Curbelo have 4 fouls… but still.
Rutgers is legit. I was big time against them going into the year but Harper has taken a huge leap. I think they’re a top 15 team
It’s still early, but I think they might be a legit contender for the top spot. Something I never really believed last year.
Yeah Harper, Young and Mathis have taken a leap forward. That was unexpected for me. Makes them a totally different team having several weapons now instead of being primarily a two man show that wins mostly on grit and playing harder. They have some players to work with this year
Hard to disagree with this at this point.
Baker getting injured and taking a back seat may be the best thing that could have happened for them
Mind boggling how ILL is getting destroyed on the boards
I’m loving all this Rutgers love after being Team Rutgers all off-season. That being said this game has made me go from indifferent to hating Mulcahy, he’s gone to the Brad Davison school of flopping for sure.
Also super weird that Rutgers has missed 3 dunks today.
Good things generally happen when you work hard. Undeniable that Rutgers works hard.
If the answer to your defensive personnel issues is to play some sort of funky zone that you never play otherwise, you probably aren’t playing the right lineup.
This also applies to Iowa although I’m not sure there’s a working lineup there.
Bad sign for the transfers the ILL has brought in and their personnel that they have to turn to that and stick with Georgi when its clearly not working.
Recorded yesterday’s Iowa and Wisconsin games and watched them today. Just one note: Jay Bilas said he loves the Wisconsin jersey. “They’re really cool.” No sarcasm. He was genuinely fawning over them.
Dakich wanting them to go for a 2 lol. Rutgers is in the double bonus now but wants them to keep scoring 2s.
Extend the game!!!1!
