Isaiah Dahlman should be on the list, he was a scholarship player unlike Thornton

Kebler is extremely forgettable. I thought someone was making a Loyer short joke (Kebler elf) until I saw your comment.

Drew Naymick is a classic too

Yes! This has me going through old MSU rosters. Some real classics. Naymick, Tom Herzog, Erazem Lorbek, Goran Suton.

I was going to talk about Sparty being frustrated with Paul Davis, but Naymick is a better pull from that era.

Adam Ballinger is another classic.

He never really played but Anthony Ianni made a pretty big impression on me.

Lorbek definitely doesn’t belong on this list…his leaving early dug a hole that the program is still crawling out of today…

(yes, sarcasm, but this is a thing real people say)

Just curious if people think Tillman is leaving or not. I was certain he would earlier in the year but Izzo and his persuasive ways have been very successful in past years. I also am not 100% sure what Tillman’s fit is like in the NBA.

  • I do think Tillman leaving changes a LOT for MSU.

One senior in the rotation. Izzo looks great when he has senior role players. He never has a bad team, but this is a team Michigan should sweep next year.

Im also curious if anyone has some sort of projection as to what Tillman’s fit as an NBA player would look like. Haven’t seen many mocks lately but I don’t recall him being higher than a mid-second rounder ever.

Great and versatile defender that can switch and protect the rim. Great passer. Both fit well into modern day NBA

Trayce takes home FOTW honors

I think he should be the Freshman of the Year in the conference, but Kofi will probably win it.

Along with Dan Bonner’s lack of basic info on Michigan that was one of the worst announced games I have ever heard

in high school where the offense was built around him

Kind of an ominous sounding statement, don’t ya think? Saying you “have to do what’s best” for someone isn’t usually followed by them returning to action. Feels like a precursor to an announcement of extended unavailability.

Who knows, though. Could be like Juwan where someone out for a month is day-to-day, lol.

Yep. He topped it off by referring to us as the Spartans late in the broadcast.

Yes, he did!

I think Tillman leaves simply because he had a similar decision a year ago and it seems like when guys decide to stay, it’s just for that one year, even if their stock doesn’t go up. We saw that with Nick Ward.
