Remember MAAR at the line for game winning free throws against Minnesota or someone in his senior year? I don’t even remember the game, just how incredibly relaxed he seemed. That was a mentally tough dude. Those types of shots give me anxiety just watching them, I can only imagine how the players must feel.

Luckily with Maryland winning this game it might not. If they win at home Saturday that keeps them at 4 losses and MSU at 7. So as long as Maryland holds serve Saturday MSU is done.

Yeah I was in that situation as a senior in high school and missed both, which eliminated my team effectively.
Speaking of that play, that was a beautiful baseball/football pass by Livers on the inbound to make it happen. He was like a quarterback fitting the ball through zone coverage.

He deferred a lot to his teammates, but when we were in a scoring drought and really needed a bucket, he would always seem to be the guy to step up and take it strong to the rim.
Lot’s of moving pieces right now, but all the recent action has resulted in Michigan bouncing up to 9th on Kenpom. Juwan’s not gonna win coach of the year, or even coach of the Big Ten, but getting this team to be top 10 level considering the pieces that are gone from last year’s team and the Livers injury is, in my very biased opinion, the most impressive coaching job in the Big Ten this year.

Wait a second maryland won??? Goodness gracious.
I went to bed last night shortly after the second half of Maryland vs. Minnesota had begun. As I got into bed I nudged my wife who had turned in 5 or 10 minutes earlier and I said," Minnesota is up on Maryland by 16 in the second half." She asked me, “How much time left?” “Fifteen or sixteen minutes,” I replied. She said, “Oh, Maryland’s gonna win!” I said, “We’ll see…” I woke up in the middle of the night and checked the scores on my phone. Maryland won by a point! “Goodness gracious,” is right! Oh, my wife is a Sparty so she was cheering like heck for Minnesota to win that game!
