Big Ten Basketball 2019-20 Discussion

Your eyes don’t deceive you:

It’s pretty much all his teammates faults, but he has definitely had a significantly worse season than Burke

That’s a good reason for not wanting Cassius to win. Mine is far more petty…I just don’t want to see a Spartan win!

I would say his reason is just as petty if not more lol

Would be interesting to see Away and Neutral separated, as I’m guessing we’re not particularly close to the best Away team in the conf. But as a wise man once said, having those Bahamas efficiency ratings in the Neutral cohort is going to make that look pretty good.

The only neutral game in there is Rutgers.

Unadjusted win over NW doing a lot of work.

OH, conf only…of course.

Very interesting!

This confirms what we’ve always suspected, but now know: Iowa away is pure, unadulterated chaotic evil.

So if I am understanding this correctly, Iowa is far worse at defense away. While some might say that’s because opponents shoot better at home, as a Michigan fan I am inclined to say it’s more likely because they get that 30-5 type FT discrepancy at home. Skewed, and a small sample size, but we have chronicled [within forums here] team defense is based on the Center and Garza sucks unanimously.

Purdue had cut the lead from 15 down to 9 against Buckeyes, then they promptly gave up an open three, followed by an offensive foul away from the ball. Just doesn’t look like their day.

Edit: followed by another open 3.

Purdue is basically a Northwestern-level team away from Mackey.

Dachon Burke for Nebraska just got whistled for one of the most obvious push-offs you’ll ever see. Pretty hilarious how blatant it was.

They just had a huge win last week at Indiana. Gave us all we could handle as well.

Might be time for me to stop making fun of Mark Turgeon

Maryland up 8 at half @ MSU. MD is playing some really good defense and making shots, but a lot have come off one-on-one play. If that continues, I think MD is due for some regression Offensively in the 2nd half.

Saw Emoni Bates in the crowd at Breslin behind Jay Bilas as they were talking right before the 2nd half started.

And this is why you can’t trust Mark Turgeon. Maryland has no answers

MD with 6 points in the first 13 possessions of the half (0.46 PPP) at the under-12 timeout.

Has Maryland run an actual play all game? This is Tommy Amaker level offensive coaching.
