2024 Olympic Basketball

They put them in pools of 2. So the top 2 group winners would play the bottom 2 pool, which is the 2 3rd place teams. But you can’t play a team in your group in the QF. But yes the pools are determined by PD

But also now that I explained it I realize I was wrong. The US wants Germany to win so they’ll be in the top pool with the US. Then the US would play Brazil because Germany can’t play Brazil. And their arch nemesis Germany would be on the other side of the bracket

That’s what I was curious about.

If Germany wins:
Pool A: US, Germany
Pool B: Canada-Spain winner, Serbia
Pool C: France, Greece probably or Canada if Spain wins
Pool D: Australia probably or Greece is Spain wins, Brazil

He’s still kicking

This one-man booth for basketball is a really weird viewing experience

On peacock they have Noah Eagle and DWade. Not sure why the other version has the one guy
Speaking of kicking, SGA gets called for a kick on a 3 pointer and now Spain is down 2 with 54 seconds

ooohhh Barrett Dagger

Canada will be nothing if not battle tested.

So is Spain eliminated?

Yes they are

I thought they would still be alive since they beat Greece???

Well they and Greece and Australia are 1-2. But Spain ends up last because they have a worse PD in the 3 games played between the teams. If Greece had lost today they would probably be in

Same age as LeBron! Was shocked to see him on their roster along with Sergio Llull, who’s somehow only 36.

Germany is so good.

kinda similar to the prime Spain teams in that they all play well together, have a guard that’s better in FIBA than NBA, and have talent that’s up there with anyone besides the US. Not quite as talented as those Spain teams though

Even have two NBA brothers on the team.
