The Suns has no one beyond KD and Book. Ayton has gotten worse this season and is it due to him not caring about playing for the Suns? CP3 is cooked except his middie.
Ayton has been soft for his entire career other than a few playoff series two years ago. I stand by my comments when all the Pistons fans wanted him.
Did PJ Tucker post a 0% usage in 37 minutes?
Agree. This feels like a poorly written Ted Lasso villain
You don’t want to know what I call you
Is it “Boo-tros?”
Flashbacks to 2018 watching Brunson get an easy bucket on Duncan. Also how in the world are the Heat in this game with Butler out.
Don’t you dare! Our Lasso villain is showing real ambiguity. Kind of.
Taps the “A healthy Anthony Davis is the best defensive player in the NBA” sign.
Remember when this board thought Darvin Ham was getting canned at the end of year 1
Don’t know much about Darvin Ham or his effect on the team but Pelinka and the Lakers FO performed magic once they managed to offload Westbrook, completely retooled the squad.
And let’s talk about Lakers scouting department…they’re genuinely the best in the league. Somehow they unearthed white James Harden from bumf$ck no where.
Reaves is definitely a good find, but they hadn’t drafted anyone worth a dime other than him, so I don’t know they’re that good
the important thing to remember about the great job Pelinka did in re-tooling the roster (he did) is that he needed to because of the rank incomptence they had engaged in with team-building over the prior 2 years
*Some Pistons fans.
There was talk that Reaves’ people told the Pistons not to take him in the 2nd round. I guess he knew where he wanted to go, and it worked out.
Their past few draft picks:
Christie
Isaiah Jackson
Jaden McDaniels
DeAndre Hunter
Moritz Wagner
Mykhailiuk
Lonzo Ball
Tony Bradley
Brandon Ingram
Ivica Zubac
Deangelo Russell
Larry Nance
Anthony Brown
Julius Randle
That’s actually a very good clip of success in the draft, especially considering most of those picks were low and nearly all of these players are still in the league. And their high draft picks (DLo, Randle, Lonzo, Brandon Ingram) all turned out to be all-star caliber players. This isn’t even mentioning the undrafted gems they plucked out of no where in Alex Caruso and Reaves.
I dunno, as a Pistons fan, this appears like talent evaluation from a different planet when you take into account our trash@ss record in the draft for over two decades. Lakers manage to get Reaves from the G-League while we are counting our number 5 draft pick Killian Hayes as part pf our ‘young core’.
Also a big reason why Weaver should get some leeway even though he drafted the same Hayes I’m complaining about. The cupboard was left incredibly bare.
Well, I feel they finally got past the whole - “Let’s keep Lebron happy and let him be the GM” stage, and moved to the, “hey, we’re competent basketball people with two stars in house already, let’s find some really good role players that fit” stage
Hunter was at the very least drafted FOR the Hawks right?
The thing that strikes me about that list is how many they let walk for nothing (or traded for Anthony Davis)
Hearing a lot of people saying Jordan Poole shouldn’t have been so far back from the three point line on his last shot last night, and it’s giving me 2018-19 season flashbacks lol
I think the shot he got was totally fine, he just badly missed it.
Tyler Halliburton agrees with you. Funny exchange:
