2022 NCAA Tournament Open Thread

The fact that Sochan and Mayer still haven’t fouled out and get to participate in ot is proof of how poorly officiated this game has been.

Refs absolutely gave this game to Baylor

UNC choked as well, but can’t eject their best player so easily

What a terrible play. I can’t stand when guys just waste clock and jack up a deep shot at the buzzer. Everyone wants to live that moment you practice in your driveway rather than attacking the rim and drawing a foul or getting a better shot

The refs were super awful both ways. UNC got some really fortunate calls down the stretch also.

I wish this was a one minute OT!

Horrible last possession. Can’t see NC pulling this out.

“You know you’re going to be on TV, right? You sure you want a mullet?!”

Another nonstarter in there who makes a horrible decision

Does anyone know the difference between a foul and a charge? Like, it’s just a roll of the dice, right?

That was not a charge. The last couple were correct. That one, he was not set and was not in a legal guarding position.

Mayer should’ve fouled out 30 minutes ago

Sure: If Baylor is on D, it’s a charge, if they’re on offense, it’s a block. Very simple.

I know it makes sense logistically but I hate that the first 2 games and the only afternoon games are at the same arena. We could be getting that other game starting right about now.

ChattaM does, and I apologize to ChattaM for complaining so vociferously about the officiating! :grinning:

Scott Drew is on meth, no doubt in my mind.

Not often you see an OT game with one lead change.

I’m so nervous about the officiating that I was afraid that was going against Bacot. Then Bacot misses both FTs

In Waco, Texas?! Why, I’ve never heard of such a thing.
