My wife is about to turn on the Red Carpet!

No quit in St Pete’s and that’s exactly what I would expect! Great tournament run for them, but it was gonna end sometime and it did tonight. Hold your heads up high, guys, you were the darlings of the dance! RESPECT!

Kids today, with their focus on offense and actually trying to score points…

They don’t know the beauty of a good, solid 19-12 basketball game.

(I don’t remember the pre-shot clock era, but I do pine for the days of the 45-second clock… You had time to set up plays…)

I liked 35 honestly.

I coached for a dozen years before the advent of the shot clock, and yes, I even coached in college pre shot clock, too! Seriously, when people call me an “old man” they’re not just referring to me as someone’s dad. I really AM old!

Personally, I like the 10 second shot clock, but only for next season so that Frankeh Collins can ball out and destroy dudes in transition.

Juwan officially doesn’t even have the most famous slap of the last month. Huge win.

Villanova won their first NCAA title over Georgetown because there was no shot clock.

I’m dead certain that I’ve asked my “assistant coach” in 6th grade girls hoops, when we were winning late in a game by a score of something like 14-8, “Make sure you tell me if they get within two. I won’t put the starters back in until then.”

I could do that with total confidence because our opponents were something like 0-3 from 3 for the year. Shot prevention? For sure! We knew how to close out on shooters.

I am wondering if the Oscars will penalize Will Smith 40K for the slap and impose a 5 film ban on him…[quote=“MichBolts, post:3916, topic:11797, full:true”]

Justin Moore has a torn achilles. Huge blow to Villanova.

Yeah, that’s terrible. I feel so bad for the young man and for Nova Basketball.

This just in: " Academy condemns Will Smith’s actions, launching formal review of Chris Rock slap"

They’ve been talking to NCAA, for sure.

If you’re looking for something that directly compares the two incidents…

they are not comparable IMO. heated exchange after a contact sport vs a scripted joke at a black tie event

people throw hands in basketball all the time. not so much at the Oscars
