2022-23 Schedule Discussion

That happened after we lost to NJIT and EMU I think we knew we were lousy

NJIT and EMU came after.

My bad. I’m a dummy

Anyone know what the timeline is for season tickets as far as renewals and new offers? Hopeful to get an offer this year.

As a central alum, they have made a series of recent bad coaching hires. I think barbee absolutely stinks. I wanted the guy from southern Utah in a bad way.

I’ve already paid for my tickets for next season and in early August there is the obligatory opportunity to improve your seating on-line. I suspect new potential season ticket holders will be contacted during that time frame.

Is the August opportunity a new thing? In 31 years as a season ticket holder, except
for 2012 when everyone had to choose new seats with the Crisler remodel, I was never given an opportunity to improve my seating. The ticket office staff was unresponsive to my inquiries about improving my seats until I discontinued buying season tickets. Then I received a call to ask why I did not renew and whether I would like to change my mind.

It’s been something that’s been going on for the last several years, but in all the opportunities made available to us, we managed to improve our seats by 3 rows in the same section.

UNC game is official:

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The University of Michigan men’s and women’s basketball teams will each face off against North Carolina in the inaugural Jumpman Invitational as announced Thursday (July 28) by the Charlotte Sports Foundation and ESPN Events.

Taking place in Charlotte at the Spectrum Center, this event will feature both the men’s and women’s teams from the original four schools to sign partnership deals with Jordan Brand in both basketball and football: Florida, Michigan, North Carolina and Oklahoma.

The women will face the Tar Heels on Dec. 20 at 7 p.m., with the men playing at the same time on Dec. 21. All contests will air on the ESPN family of networks.

For the women, this will be just the second meeting between the two teams and first since 1987 when UNC came away with an 88-75 win in Chapel Hill.

For the men, the matchup with the Tar Heels marks the fifth non-conference meeting over the last six seasons. Over the last few years, three have come in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge (2017, '18, '21) and one at the 2019 Battle 4 Atlantis.

Overall, Michigan trails North Carolina 5-4 all-time. With the upcoming game in Charlotte, seven of the 10 games have been at a neutral site, including four NCAA Tournament matchups.

Tickets for the event will be available to the public in late September. For more information on the events and to sign up for notifications, visit JumpmanInvitational.com.

The remainder of both programs’ non-conference schedules will be announced at a later date.

I think I’d lean this way more than a close, i.e. <7 point differential. (Well, maybe not 115-65 bad, but pretty bad none the less.) I’m just not excited about playing a loaded UNC in UNC’s backyard with UM working in four new starters.

Home game vs Ohio on November 20th.

Or maybe a road trip to Athens to get the home and home Dylan has been banging the drum for

Should be a Q3 game which is solid as a buy game I would say.

Only 1 “early” conf game. We need to redeem ourselves vs. the Gophers.

I’ll be there to make sure the boys have ample support.

Man you gotta play in London on the 4th, at Minnesota on the 8th, and then nothing until the 17th? Feels like a big gap was intentionally left and the Big Ten just goes “nah you’re playing on the 8th.”
