If we get there, I want the other half of our S16 to be a grueling affair.
I donât. Iâm on record as saying Bama doesnât scare me to the same degree as they do a lot of other people. Obviously theyâre more than good enough to beat us, but I just think their reputation is better than them as a team right now.
But lets say we think Bama is that good. I assume you want Texas to win because you think theyâre good enough to beat Bama. But if Texas is the team to take down Bama, then theyâre clearly a very good team in their own right. Iâd rather a team like ACU, or UCLA at this point, play Bama and give us a 10-15% shot of playing one of them in the Elite Eight vs a 100% chance of Bama or Texas.
Every one of those players would have played for Texas if given a chance. Theyâve got Mark Dantonio-sized chips on their shoulder.
See above. If we are fortunate enough to make the E8, I want the opponent to have been in a battle two days before that.
Did the ACU guy not get fouled on that long two?
I wonder how often Houston plays Texas in bball? Seems like another intrastate matchup that the #hookem horns would avoid
I agree with everything you said. But itâs beside the point. Mark Turgeon has sworn a solemn oath on his 34 years of coaching that the flame of vengeance shall not be quenched until he meets his mighty foe a fourth time, and HE WILL HAVE SILENCE in this classroom on that occasion.
Their style of play clearly worked for UVA and I donât see them changing it anytime soon.
I think Duke suffer from having too many one and done players and not enough players with experience to guide them through the tournament. This is where team like Michigan who are senior laded team tend to have an edge because they have been through it and understands the moment of the game. Itâs nice to have a talented team but in college level, you need to find the right balance between elite freshmen talent and junior/senior players. Duke did not have that IMO. Thatâs the challenge that Juwan will need to navigate as a coach. I think he gets it with his recruiting class. Itâs balanced with players who would stay for 2-3 years and a couple of one and done players.
Yeah, I canât think of a single time. They play Rice a lot, but Houston is a little too talented, I think.
Yeah I mean I think I basically said the same thing right?
These iPhone commercials are really annoying.
They tried way too hard.
ACU takes shots so bad, Rocket Watts wouldnât take them.
Duane Washington, Jr. thinks ACU is reckless.
Twenty turnovers. Oh, the Shakaning
Thatâs the Christian part!
Itâs a team full of all of our favorite B1G heroes, except they play badass defense.
The funny thing is, Shaka hasnât played this havoc style in years; it just didnât work at Texas. But it seems work against them.
UTâs body language is awful. They appear defeated already.
I would have liked to see Abilene play early season Penn State. More steals than points!
I just donât see the plan
What, exactly, is the plan here for Texas?
Shakaâs teams just always seem so muddled.
The stats in this game are mind-boggling. ACU has 63 field goal attempts. Texas has 36.
