I wonder if he chose to accept messages from him???
Theyâre on it
I really expected a better showing from all the B1G teams. I know, I shoulda listened to DylanâŚstill, no one deserves that trash talk above. I was pulling for Liddell. He didnât blow the game - thatâs on Washington. Washington played hero ball on his last 5 possessions. Liddell was wide open for 3 when Washington went 1 on 3 at the rim and missed (no foul call because no foul occurred).
COMPLETELY beside the point but didnât he keep OSU in the game?
WOW @ Liddellâs feed. FFS.
Thatâs just sad. I mean, how low level of a human do you have to be to seek out a college kid on social media and harass them over a basketball game? Absolutely pathetic.
@umhoops - as I watched the end of regulation in the Oral Robertâs/Ohio State game, I wondered if the percentages favored Oral committing a foul to ensure they could take the last shot and go for the win. Worst case Ohio hits both and you draw up a 3 for the win.
Obviously, we are referencing a double digit underdog - 15 seed- so the circumstances may differ versus a top 50 defense.
Any data to support this notion, one way or another? Perhaps, Iâm totally crazy and thatâs fine too.
Semi-official motto of the UMHoops forum page.
Thatâs horrible. People really suck some times.
Thatâs not trash talk. Thatâs straight up vile hate speech and the exact kind of garbage that shows just how far this country still has to go.
Liddell was definitely their best player yesterday (23 pts, 14 rebounds, 5 assists).
Iâd hate to know what that guy sent to his teammates.
Donât know if thereâs data, but Jud Heathcote did that a number of times back in the early 90s in tie game, opponent one and one situations.
this has nothing to do with the country, there will always be low individuals like such
I would say that stuff like this and those specific individuals are emblematic of a lot of problems we have in this country. A lot of it boils down to a severe lack of empathy.
Dregs of humanity given a bullhorn called social media. Itâs garbage and shameful.
I live in KY and one of my buddies likes to say âMorehead the hardwood capital of the bluegrassâ because itâs in the middle of the Daniel Boone State/National Forest
To be honest I donât know if thatâs specifically an American thing, more of a social media thing in general. People can say horrible things without consequence. I canât imagine what soccer hooligans post after their team loses.
Itâs an issue with humans everywhere.
Oh yeah Iâm not saying itâs just American. Original comment said we had work to do as a country, and the response was saying it was just some low individuals. Sure other countries have work to do too, but this happened in America. It is a societal problem that can be addressed in any of those places but my point was that it is a societal problem not just a few despicable people.
@umhoops So will you be creating a UMHoops group for the Tournament Challenge Second Chance? Itâs a chance to reset Sweet16 forwardâŚany interest here on the forum? My initial bracket has bottomed out, I think.
