I meant that it was a shot clock violation in part because he pulled it so far back he couldn’t get it off in time
well his first full class has a Burger Boy SG in Bufkin. plus a freak athlete PG in Frankie. and a pogo stick swingman who flew under the radar in Barnes. oh yeah!

Gonzaga is the best team in the country by a wide margin. They’re dismantling Oklahoma like they’re a mid-major. I don’t see how anyone can knock them out of the tournament.

It’s a single elimination tournament where crazier things have happened. But I agree they are far and away the best team in the country. I hope they win it if Michigan doesn’t

All of the talks of Zags not being able to compete in the B1G is rubbish. They would be in 1st place. Would they still be undefeated? Doubtful but they would blow out a lot of B1G teams this season. They have elite players and good depth.
Playing in a bad conference is a weak argument against mid-major especially when you consider how badly Zags has dismantled WCC with ease. You can be the best team in a bad conference (see Clemson Football in ACC for example).

Maybe, but there’s a considerable difference between needing to be at your best for 25+ games a season and needing to be at your best for ten.
That said, Gonzaga also has no national titles in the 2000s – or, at all – so I guess they’d fit in. 
ETA: And, there are probably more Gonzaga fans in Seattle than Rutgers fans in NYC, so Jim Delany would approve…

Gonzaga is the only school to reach Sweet 16 all 5 times in the past 5 tournaments. They play a tough non-conference schedule where they pretty much blew out every P5 schools. There is a reason why Gonzaga is the best team in the country by a wide margin.

On the other hand, it would bump Knight’s IU squad from the conversation every time it’s a possibility. I have the same feeling about this as about the champagne-toasting undefeated Dolphins team – pretty much anyone new is preferable.
