I think it’s completely baffling that Indiana fans didn’t have him as 1b or 2 to Stevens. I think he’d be a great fit there and would absolutely get that program playing basketball their fans would like.

Totally agreed. If they can’t get their Home Run guys (Beard/Drew/Stevens) Moser should be at the top of the list. And maybe he is now but you can’t tell me Mike Woodson is a better hire

I think the latest rumor is that Thad Matta is at the top though which I like for them. But Moser is right after him if I were them.

When I talked with Brendan on the pod he was adamant that they could do better than Moser. I didn’t quite get that, I’ve been impressed with Moser.

Matta would be a good hire, assuming he’s healthy.

I don’t know what Moser’s ceiling is, but I just have a hard time seeing them fall out of the top 4-5 of the conference very often once he’s got things established a bit. His team is full of MW kids, which the IU fans would eat up.

I get they think it’s still the mid 80s in Bloomington, but you can do much much much worse than Moser, especially with the other solid coaches in the conference. You make another bad hire and you’re stuck in the bottom half of the conference for another 3-4 years.

You’d also imagine Moser is in his perfect window to leave. He’s been able to prove 2018 wasn’t a fluke, has his best team yet, and he’s probably losing a big chunk of this year’s team. Best to capitalize on all of this now before a potential down year next year, especially if his success is mostly tied to Krutwig.

Bracing for @buckets12 when Iowa wins today :grimacing:

To me this is further proof that fans–the press, too–just talk about the handful of names that float to the surface. There should be dozens of candidates for an AD to sort through, but would many have the guts to hire them, sell them to the following? Lots contributing to keeping it an old boy network, esp. in the case of an Indiana.

I have no idea what Oregon looks like as a team.

I am pretty happy that the B1G is going to take down the first Pac12 team.

Dunderwood has his current job almost entirely because he won two tournament games at Stephen F’ing Austin.

Garza is a force. As a B1G fan, I take him for granted. I have to assume PAC-12 teams S%&$ their pants when they see him.

Overdressed.

To be fair Omoruyi is very well versed in playing against Garza since he started at Rutgers

Iowa looks out of synch. Would not be surprised to see another B1G team massively underperform

Oregon #5 messed up that fast break

but they scored a 3 so whatever

Iowa and Garza in particular seem to have no interest in playing defense today

I wonder if the 11am start time is tough for these guys. Intensity wise.
