Rutgers really believes they’re better than Houston.

I’m not too surprised by how Rutgers/Houston game has gone. Houston cannot afford to play down to Rutgers level and they are. I didn’t foresee Rutgers making 3 pt shots. It’s like they rediscovered their early season form

Jacob Young thinks he’s the best player on any court he’s on.

And he’s right.

That’s absolutely hilarious.

Scoreboard…

Houston is in their third NCAA second round of the Kelvin Sampson era (and the KenPom era, for that matter). Their opponents have been Michigan, OSU, and Rutgers.

I suspect they’re getting tired of seeing Big Ten teams in their pod at this point.

I wonder if we’ll collectively start souring on Rutgers a bit once they get their first win against Michigan.

I think part of their appeal is that they’ve been auto-dubs for our program despite being a solid team.

Is a three point shot on a 1v1 fast break a great shot?

Well, I’ll tell you what, tonight, at least so far, they are!

We better win tomorrow. I’ll be pretty salty if Rutgers makes the Sweet 16 and we don’t

I mean, it’s often entirely uncontested. If you’re a 45% three-point shooter, I don’t hate it… especially if it’s a spot-up.

I’m just commenting on how they look. They’re clearly the more confident team.

Yep, I think all contact had stopped before he went into his shot.

45% shooters don’t exactly grow on trees lol. That guy shoots 33% from deep. Someone like Livers is the only type of player I’d want to see doing that.

Personally, I don’t like Rutgers at all and am actively rooting against them

Unrelated - I don’t care for baseball but it’s cool to note that Michigan came back from a 7-0 deficit in the bottom of the ninth inning to win 8-7, against MSU.

 I wasn’t sure exactly who’d shot it, so I intended that to be more context-neutral.

Eli Brooks is a 39% shooter, and Mike Smith is a 43% shooter. I’d be happy with either of them taking that shot as a spot-up (i.e., on a 2 on 1). Even Franz could take it, as long as he didn’t do his hesitation thing.

Amazing what confidence and heart can do for you.
