One of my favorite things just happened: Davis for Wisconsin goes in for the layup and there’s contact. While the ball’s rolling around the rim for like a full second Davis yells “and-1”, which results in both the ball and ref agreeing. Ball goes in, ref calls the foul a full second after the contact.
Davis just tried the Justice Sueing approach of passing it to a guy who wasn’t looking. Luckily for the Badgers, somebody noticed and it turned into points for UW instead of Baylor.
Dan Dakich: “He doesn’t look good, he looks great without a mullet”
Not good. Great.
Tyler Wahl cannot hang in this game.
Ya don’t understand Gards obsession with him
That was one of the more legitimate charges I’ve ever seen Davison take.
(Trying Boutros) WI just doesn’t quite have enough today. Gutty effort though.
Yeah that’s GG. Wisconsin forgot how to put ball in hoop again
Porter will definitely get more major conference interest with schools like IU but I think Porter should think really hard about the type of school he goes to if he leaves Loyola. Taking the Indiana job means that the expectations will be to recruit 5 stars and build teams that overwhelm with talent. There’s no reason to believe he can’t recruit those players but he seems like a coach that is successful with 3-4 year players who buy in and focus on fundamentals and execution. Harder to get that buy in with guys who come in to be the man for 1-2 years before bolting to the NBA.
Beilein made it work fantastically at Michigan so maybe he’s the model to follow.
Davison misses a layup. Very on brand.
Should’ve left it to the expert.
A fitting end
Wisconsin needs to tell D’Mitrik Trice that Baylor is basically Illinois.
I don’t waste my powers on such trifles
Put It straight into my veins. Wide open missed twos at the rim!
Some Baylor blogger is preparing Yakety Sax to go over these Wisconsin “highlights.”
So not only did Illinois never lead today, the only time they even tied the game was at 2-2.
I imagine this disappointing effort will motivate Wisconsin in the offseason when all their starters return.
I appreciate that WI fouling constantly is going to give us a lengthy farewell to Mrs. Trice.
