Looking at the benches in DC Philly series, it does make me think Livers is a pro. Watching him, I don’t always feel that way but man … those benches are “spotty.”
I would’ve loved to see him in Michigan uni but he was always been one and done. I wished the Pistons chose him over Stanley Johnson and there was a real debate between the two. Book would’ve been real good for the Pistons as a shooter but he has developed into an elite creator/shot maker.
I wanted Book the worst way and was disappointed with the Stanley Johnson pick. Book would’ve made a lot of sense in team building and marketability standpoint (Michigan native). I’ve heard that the some FO staff were not happy with the Stanley pick on draft day and they pushed hard for Book. They ended up being right about the debate.
I’m not going to play revisionist history myself. I liked Booker and Stanley, but Winslow was the guy I wanted the most and couldn’t believe they passed on him.
The Clippers’ commitment to making life as easy as possible on the Mavs’ off-ball shooters is something.
I am not a basketball genius, but I do know that switching on a screen requires each defender to switch to the other teammates man…evidently the Clippers do not?
If it weren’t for CP3’s injury, I bet the Suns would have a great shot of beating LAL in 5 but it’ll be a competitive series for sure.
I never brought into CP3 MVP talk because the Suns were actually pretty good last season and went 8-0 in the bubble plus Devin Booker is the best player on the team.
