2021-22 Schedule

Hope I can get tickets. I’m walking distance from the new digs.

In the press release, WSU’s AD referred to UM as “the state’s premier Division 1 program.”

If that was the currency it took to get Michigan in their gym…it was worth it.

I see there is now a date on UMhoops schedule for the UCF game in Orlando on December 30th but I never saw any kind of release from either team or in the media. Is this date confirmed?

Non conference schedule out. San Diego State replaces Kentucky on 12/4.

“Closing that week, U-M will welcome former U-M assistant coach (1988-98) Brian Dutcher’s San Diego State Aztecs to Crisler Center on Saturday, Dec. 4. The weekend match-up was originally set to be against Kentucky; however, due to uncertainties with scheduling, the Wildcats elected to not play this season. U-M and Kentucky are still scheduled to play at London’s O2 Arena in December of 2022, and continued discussions are being made to reschedule both home games.”

Classic UK move. SDSU isn’t a bad replacement though but def drops the SOS down a tier

Probably but not definitely.

“Juwan I’ll do anything to help your program out as you start out”

3 game series gets gets scheduled

Juwan’s program outperforms Calipari’s by a ton for two straight years and is ranked ahead of UK in preseason.

“Ok seems like ya got everything figured out so I’ll see you in London”

What scheduling uncertainties? The original December 4th date was perfectly situated in between cupcake games.

Warde will end up having Michigan play Kentucky in London, Lexington, and Indianapolis

Whoa. I wonder if the Oregon decision was based at all on having the Kentucky game.

Pretty bummed that the UK game got scrapped. Even moreso if that game was the one thing preventing Michigan from playing Oregon. I love beating up teams in the non-con schedule as much as the next guy but I think the chance to measure our team against a high caliber opponent early in the season is really valuable. My read is that either UK or Oregon would have been our toughest non-con opponent by far

Kentucky was afraid that their game with the Chips would be a trap game. Now they don’t have to look past them to their game with Michigan.

Here are the dates they’ve put out that I’ve caught:

Feb 5th to the 20th is a brutal stretch

Yes. For Michigan’s opponents.

Is it? Wisconsin, PSU and Iowa are probably not tournament teams in my eyes

EDIT: I’d say Jan 8th to 23rd is the tough stretch

4 of 5 on the road and the home game being OSU I would say so. Wisconsin and Iowa are still tough places to play at with fans in the arena and that’s not counting how poorly Michigan plays in Happy Valley for some reason.

I was gonna say the same. But the difference is the opening stretch is home games and the back stretch is 4 of 5 road games.

I think the idea is they have to be 2-0 in December. If they protect home court early and get a couple on the road, they can create some distance early.
