I do too.
I think he needs to sign early for all this to be based in trust, honor and commitment.

Maybe Juwan thinks being his âfirst commitâ is a selling point?
I understand thereâs a distinction with a player where he was in on his recruitment from the beginning and maybe Juwan doesnât feel he should take credit for bringing Franz in. I disagree with that, though.
It definitely is a selling point in the sense that I think he wants to brand the 2020 group as his first recruiting class.
Sam Webb crystal ball todd --> michigan
Agreed. Iâm not sure Todd acts as a domino, but I certainly helps having positive momentum and killing the narrative that Howard canât reel in the big fish before it starts.
I am curious though whether Todd has any particularly close ties to any of our other targets?
Apparently Sam said that Juwan is pushing Todd on being âJuwanâs Juwan Howardâ. So the same kind of sentiment he expressed at B10 media days when he said he was the first commit in the Fab 5.
Either way, I do think Franz is materially different than Todd in terms of credit. Franz felt like a program-win more than a Juwan win I guess.
Well, we know he took his official with Moody and sounded like they hit it off on the visit. Not sure about the others, but Todd has been an elite prospect for so long that Iâm sure he knows a lot of other guys too. He was just at USA camp with Moody, Springer, Burnett and Christopher.
For sure. Without Moâs great experience here, thereâs no Franz. But, I would say certainly Franz had to be confident about Juwan, and apparently he was. So JH certainly deserves some credit.
Thereâs always the possibility that things FEEL like dominoes falling into place just because a few players have similar decision timelines because of the various signing periods.
Yeah, I donât necessarily believe in the âdomino theoryâ but if we get Todd, Michigan looks alot more attractive to pretty much every recruit weâre after. So I think it definitely helps us in the eyes of the recruits, plus the early signing period is right around the corner.
More of a credibility theory than a domino theory. Prospect B thinks Michigan will at least be pretty good because top 15 prospect is attending. Prospect B doesnât have to be the first.
Okay everybody, catch up with me! I was advancing this theory the other day!
Per Matt D, Burnett will be looking at on court performance and recruiting from his current top group.
Could be really good or really bad for us. I believe he wanted to make an early winter decision?
Our nonconference schedule is pretty tough for a first time head coach IMO. Us and Bama are the presumed favorites. Outside of Battle for Atlantis, their schedule is easy as pie. If we win alot of our games, fuller track record to look at. Whereas Bama could only have 1 or 2 losses by early January and we still wouldnât know too much about them due to the schedule.
Recruiting side, hopefully we have a solid class at that point. Bama doesnât have a 2020 commit right now, not sure who they are in on. Interesting recruitment to follow.
Realationsips-Relationships-Relationships. Always number one.
They are in very deep with Isaiah Jackson. Some even think Bama is the leader for him. They are in a good spot with several other top 100 recruits as well.
Does that come before or after 35 minutes per game at point guard?
In all honesty, Burnett wanting to see how Michigan and Alabama play (does he watch the Tide or Jamal Murray, though?) with new head coaches definitely makes some sense.
Hey guys is the Todd decision gonna be one that we can watch live or is it just gonna be a spontaneous twitter/social media announcement at 7:45? Pretty sure itâs the second of those two options but wanted to double check.
Go blue! Excited for Toddâs announcement to say the leastâŚ
Trying not to get my hopes too high but uber excited for 7:45PM.
