So the buzz seems to be positive in Michigan’s direction at least. Just saw the above video from the ESPN recruiting guys (Borzello and Finklestein) out at the USA basketball camp and they both predicted Todd would pick Michigan next week. Also didn’t realize that Todd was the #1 recruit in his class as a sophomore.

I’d say that Juwan hanging in there with a bunch of top guys may augur well and certainly suggests, for now, that he can hang.

Curious whether people think that landing Todd, even if we lose him to overseas play in time, might not be a good boost to have right NOW? That would be my perception.

Looks, at any rate, like we are going to have some real answers pretty soon.

Don’t think it hurts but people who are trying to imply it would help are probably overstating it in my opinion.

Guess it depends on how the commit is framed, how many public asterisks go with it.

I am referring to whether it will cause a run of commitments, etc. I just don’t think it will have that much impact on where other guys on the board go.

As far as public perception or whatever else, of course it helps.

I agree. Especially if other guys know he might not stay, why would that key their own decisions? I was thinking more about the very public question as to whether Juwan can land the big fish–anything probably helps in that regard. There’s some tea-leaf reading going on over at mgoblog that KS may be in better position for him than has been understood. . . I didn’t bother to dig deeper.
