LSU was wildly inconsistent but when they played well they impressed me. I don’t think m st got a gift or anything. I think they’d beat tech pretty handily if they played.
State is not winning because of playing lesser teams.
They are a mature focused seasoned squad who are playing really connected and consistently taking good makeable shots.
They’ve beaten everybody by double digits so far in this tournament rather easily and convincingly.
Their efficiency margin has been off the charts all season long despite the numerous injuries.
Their defense is seriously legit and your tournament draw is what it is. You still gotta play.
No one was complaining about our opposition in last years tournament.
We universally dislike Izzo, but his kids have had a magical year and are a gutty hard working TEAM.
Hard for me not to respect them and their accomplishments this season.

I didn’t mean to imply that MSU is fluking their way to an elite 8. Just that their draw is a lot more favorable than anyone really realized.
Basically my point is that all of the national outrage and complaining was unwarranted.

I will be a little surprised if Gonzaga beats Texas Tech. I was under the impression it was Culver or bust. I was mistaken. Moretti and Mooney were very impressive. I was completely taken aback by how much Mooney dominated Simpson. Should be a very good game.
Hard to imagine that Wade will keep his job so I wouldn’t be surprised to see an exodus of transfers/NBA departures and LSU returning to its place as a basketball also-ran.
There is a pretty good chance that you will get to see that match up as I expect to see both make the final four. However, I don’t think MSU will have an easy time with TT.
Those of you you who have bought into Texas Tech must be salivating at getting +4.5 against Gonzaga.
M/L is a hefty +175 as well.
Mooney is phenomenal. He’s like Aaron Craft with skills.
2 point Texas Tech lead with 4 minutes left. Beard takes Culver and Mooney out of the game. Texas Tech increases the lead by 3 while they are out. Basketball is weird.

Amazing how Moretti shows up in the last 5 minutes and hits 2 huge 3’s (and obviously has a sweet shot), when the entire game before that hardly takes a shot. ? Is why doesn’t he take more three’s.
