Top 100 recruit isn’t a top top recruit? Pretty much everything between 150-30 is subjective to opinion. Does zero for the NBA? They’ve sent three guys to the league in the past two years alone. That’s a lot more than zero. All of which are wings like him. Is it Beilein level? No. But is getting 3 wings drafted to the league impressive? Yes. And maybe they don’t win as much as Michigan, but the ultimate goal of every player isn’t to hang their hat on winning a conference title or two. It’s going to the nba. YES, they didn’t have room until now, but how about in every month before July? I’m struggling to wrap my head around the fact some can’t understand these things. It wasn’t a flawed decision at all. Half the people guiding him are currently in the NBA and are veterans. You don’t have take the road everyone travels. Nobody is bashing Anthony Edwards or the other 3 or 4 4 stars for going to Georgia and that program has been way worse than Miami this past decade. Those NBA guys have all attended many of these college teams he’s been considering’s games, personally talked with the coaches and tried to understand each situation. He had better advising than 99% of the high major D1 kids could possibly get. He had people who have been there and done all that.
I’m also struggling to grasp why people haven’t already moved past it. It’s getting tiring trying to repeatedly kick the tire when people can’t understand each situation is different and we don’t know what the staff said. I’m assuming more than anything the staff was trying to make him wait until the draft decisions were finalized so these claims are moot anyway. He’s made his decision and I wish him well and I’d like to think everyone else here does as well even if they dont agree with his decision. What I think we should be more concerned with now is who Michigan brings in. Ideally Quinones, Wagner and/or Pierce or Poole/Iggy return.
Lemme say I have no ill will towards people in this thread regardless of opinion. Let’s just move on though.
