I am not frustrated at losing out on Cumberland. I think he's a good fit for the offense because he's a good shooter but we can find other good shooters in this class.
Honestly, I’m more excited at the possibility of learning about new prospects the staff is interested in. I have moved on from Cumberland, but Battle still hurts…

I love Battle and hope he gets his way in terms of coming to Michigan, but All we NEED is a top Pg. I wpuld be more then happy with any of Winston, Goodin or Simpson. Im confident we’ll het one of the three

I actually don’t think their takes are TOO different (looking at the latest Balas post). What has personally stood out to me was simply the fact that Battle didn’t commit on his Syracuse visit.
I will add that Balas’s report also had some very encouraging words about some other basketball topics. Encourage those with access to go check it out.

I don’t think we can really say without giving too much. I think it’s safe to assume there will be Michigan insiders following Battle for a bit longer.

Agree Dingo. It was just that, to me, Webb sounded more as if the page had turned vs Balas saying it ain’t over, especially after a bunch of UM-Jordan news comes to light. Slight differences which could mean the same thing I suppose.
I hope UM really creates a hoops identity with the Jordan brand (and it sounds exactly like what they are about to do) because for the past 15 years they really haven’t had one. To clarify, I’m strictly talking image, branding and marketing. Adidas didn’t do much of anything in that regard…especially for supposedly being a crowned jewel. I’m looking forward to it.

I think they are speaking from a similar tone on the side of Battle’s family. I think Sam may have more insight into what the staff actually thinks. So in that sense, I consider them similar takes.
Bottom line is that we aren’t gonna sit around and wait for Battle

My take is there is mutual interest, but still some things to get past before Michigan will offer. Until we do, I would say UK or MSU are the favorites. Just my opinion.

Miles has Cleaves, MoPete, Jrich, and Draymond hounding him to go to MSU. If he doesn’t go to Kentucky ( he is a priority recruit for Cal) than he is going to MSU.
