Did we offer Damien Jefferson?
No, visited for the OSU game. There are some academic concerns…but the kid definitely has some talent.

Jefferson went for 21pts and 11reb last night
According to the below twitter account Brad Winton, we are inquiring about 2 Juco guards Charles Foster and Mychal Mulder from Vincennes. Very interesting if true, Brandon Hughes was the last one?
their youtube highlights are actually really solid…good athleticism from both, I was pretty impressed
New film on Langford from state championship game. Full arsenal on display, passing, midrange shot off the bounce, passing/court vision, 3pt shooting, finishing at the basket…and it all looks effortless

I think I have to disagree with your prelim assessment as it relates to Foster on the athleteicism…not a horrible athlete, but certainly not good.
Some film on Foster from the 2013-2014 season from Vincennes. My prelim opinion is that Foster is pretty much a 6’1 catch and shoot player, handle isn’t all that impressive but not bad either, but he doesn’t display the ability to change direction or create shots for himself or others. Reminds me of a smaller version of Kenny Williams (VCU), but 2 years older. Probably just prelim interest, but I’ll pass on a 6’1 catch and shoot player.
Some film on Mychal Mulder from the 2013-2014 season at Vincennes. Prelim opinion on Mulder is that he’s pretty much a catch and shoot player as well, but with above average verticality. Seems to have the ability to hit the midrange shot off the bounce from a closeout. I like the fit from Mulder much more than I do foster because he’s 6’4, but once again, guys like this are a dime a dozen. You can find a 6’4 catch and shoot player any time…I would take a pass. This kid is a less skilled, less athletic version of Frankie Hughes.
Edit - more film on Mulder from high school below. He’s obviously much stronger now, and the more recent film displays more strength and balance…but his skillsetis pretty much the same…catch and shoot player.
Edit #2 - more recent film on Mulder from Dec. 2014 below. In sum, catch and shoot player with above average verticality.
Gary Battle has “zero concern” over sanctions at Syracuse. Doesn’t matter much unless they let a 15 out of the NLI or transfers happen because there won’t be a spot for him.
I love Tyus as a person and a player, but I am wore out on his dad and all of his constant musings on teams involved in his sons recruitment. You can absolutely count on Dad making the decision for his son, guaranteed. I don’t care what he says otherwise. He LOVES the attention, and if he has “zero concern” for a tainted program, then good for him.
If true, this pretty much shuts the door on Tyus Battle to Syracuse

@EvanDaniels: Five-star 2016 guard Josh Langford (http://t.co/TWz8KbXIC8) is currently on an unofficial visit to Kentucky.
Has Kentucky been mentioned as a possible destination for Langford before? Not liking our chances as much if they go after him hard.
I was wonder why the blue bloods weren’t coming after Langford yet and when they planned on starting.
2016 G Tyus Battle @kidmamba23 is still considering Syracuse among his 7, his dad tells @SNYtv. 'Business as usual.'

More full game highlights from Jefferson below. This one is much easier to follow, as it is condenses to 30 mins (cuts out halftime and TOs). More of the same, Jefferson is a very good athlete, good catch and shoot player, has ability to shoot off the bounce but not consistent yet, can create a bit but not a great ballhandler. I really hope this kid gets his academics in order, as there is no denying his talent. Honestly don’t feel there is a huge difference between Tyus Battle and Jefferson. Battle is a better ballhandler and I do prefer him for that reason, but the dropoff isn’t that big.
Notable plays from Jefferson below:
3:00 mark - jab step from right wing, then missed three ball wide right
3:30 mark - beats man down floor, Edwards hits him with no look pass, Jefferson finished layup
7:20 mark - flashes to FT line, takes 1 dribble right, misses pull up jumpshot, is able to rebound his own miss and get tip in without taking a dribble - this level of athleticism was impressive
8:32 mark - gets defensive rebound, brings ball up the court, utilizes screen going left to hit contested pullup jumper from 18 ft
9:00 mark - comes over to block shot when offensive player beats Jefferson’s teammate off the dribble, then runs the floor in transition as the trailer and Edwards finds him on the dump off pass and Jefferson absolutely crushes a dunk - this was a great 2 way sequence
10:43 mark - comes to top of the key off a pindown screen, missed 3 a few inches long
11:10 mark - gets ball on left wing, takes 3 dribbles left and misses stepback jumper from 19ft. Although he didn’t make the shot, Jefferson was easily able to get separation to get a decent look with his off hand. Didn’t necessarily like the shot selection though
17:37 mark - gets ball on right wing, takes one dribble right and completely blows by his man, and is fouled on the way to the rim, knocks down both FTs
22:18 mark - dribbles his way through a double team, hangs in the air, waits for everyone else to come back down, then finger rolls the ball off the glass - this has to be one of the most athletic plays I’ve seen from a HS kid this year…that is Lebron James esque in every way
23:54 mark - Edwards draws a triple team in the paint, kicks it to Jefferson on the left wing and he buries the catch and shoot 3

New film on Bruce Brown in state playoffs. Brown is underrated in my opinion. Doesn’t appear to have a jumpshot, but man this kid is athletic and tough as nails. He’s got that Westbrook quality about him where he is just so aggressive that defenders just don’t have an answer for him
