With the new union talks at Northwestern, Michigan has decided to drop down to DIII…hence the recruiting lately.

OK, thanks. Just for the record, the question posed wasn’t “who do you think we get?” but merely, “who is your personal preference?” And, not only that, but I answered that question with an “if”.
Hope you’re wrong, though I am also skeptical.
I guess that puts the “MattD spin” talk to rest
Thanks Guestavo.
According to @SamWebb77, Jalen Coleman's dad called UM coaches to set up official visit and was told UM no longer has room for him...

Speculation ended.
MattD: There is a big difference between speculative beliefs that come true and presenting something as a “knowledge claim” without justification. Perhaps my use of the term “spin” implies you have an agenda, which is unfair, it could be that you just like to make predictions… Is there still an open scholarship spot? Will there be no other visits for '15 recruits? Does the staff have some other recruit in mind instead of Coleman? A lot of possibilities I think…

I would “assume” that this means Davis is no longer being actively recruited as well? It’s probably Dozier or nothing at this point than? Swanigan is not realistic IMO.

Correct. Have to sale Caris leaving and the NBA success.
There’s a scholarship available, but not for Jalen. My guess is that either 1) the Colemans stopped regularly communicating with the staff; 2) the staff warned them that the scholarship was in play and he could lose his spot by waiting (pretty obvious after they offered Davis and more so when Dozier scheduled a visit; the surprise was Robinson getting one); or 3) the coaches felt that they had done everything they could in recruiting Coleman, were not getting positive feedback, and simply moved on, even though there was schollie left. At this point, the schollie destination is a choice between a '16 recruit (of which there are several 5 stars) or Dozier. The staff was willing to make that trade off for Dozier, but not Coleman. Or all of the above.

Parent’s tend to not always tell the whole story.
I was disappointed at how the Coleman situation played out, but what’s done is done. Hopefully we’re able to wow Dozier and sell him on instant playing time considering Levert will most likely leave, but I’m not getting my hopes up considering the family ties to SC. Dozier would be a perfect replacement for Caris and is more athletic. All those other schools can sell him on being a quasi PG, but we have proven that we put the ball in the hands of our creators. If turning down Coleman leads to Dozier, im all for it, he has a higher ceiling in both ends of the court.
UL has no scholarships and is banking on Rozier leaving. Snider, Aaron, Deng, Mitchell will all be there, too.
SC is SC.
UNC has to decide between Brandon Ingram, Kenny Williams and PJ Dozier
Not sure what GU is offering. Have tons of PGs and wings coming in for 2014 and also after a few guards in 2015.
The Doziers remind me of the Chatmans and Thorntons. They don’t seem to be bullshitters and though UNC/SC has the advantage, UM can definitely work this in their favor.
I agree Guestavo. We may not get him, but I think we have a real shot. And I just don’t see a kid with an NBA future picking South Carolina. Their program sucks, and Frank Martin seems like a difficult coach to play for.
Are we still recruiting Prince Ali?

UCLA.
Really wished we kept pursuing Jaylen Poyser.

There doesn’t seem to be a lot of news about him regarding any school. What is the latest buzz on him? Both him and Jamaal Murray would both really fit in well I think.
