Great win and I’m happy we pulled that out ,but don’t act like we haven’t been blown out last week by both MSU and Indiana on our own home court.
Do you root for them to lose?
Is it not possible for fans to root for Michigan to win and at the same time be fed up with the style of play?
I hated RR’s all around philosophy but not once did I ever root for Michigan to lose. Same with Brady Hoke in his final year. I was fed up watching no run game and a million turnovers but I rooted for them to win every single game.
I’m hoping what we just saw today will continue through March. You won’t hear a negative peep out of me if it does. You’ll hear plenty of praise though. We played a style of basketball I enjoy watching and that I think can produce more consistency game to game than what we’ve seen.
No you can’t do that because a forum isn’t meant for people to discuss differences. Oh wait
Of course I root for them to win. But dude comes on here right after the game and through shade at me bc I started this thread a week ago .
Stating that there was nothing soft about the win is throughing [sic] shade?
We outrebounded Purdue and outscored them in the paint. Hence, there was nothing soft about that win.
You came and specifically replied to my last comment with what you said meaning you went out your way to reply to me when my last post on this form was 2 days back so what do you think?
IMO you have Michigan - one of the original industrial, blue collar states. Detroit at the heart of it. Teams like Michigan State, Pistons, Red Wings…you just don’t think of soft. I think of PSL players. I think of the Fab Five, Tractor Traylor, Maurice Taylor, Maceo Baston. Even the football program - pound the ball!
Chucking 3’s and playing poor defense just doesn’t fit…UNLESS you’re winning. It’s one thing to lose. It’s a whole other thing to lose playing soft.
Today was a real big win. Make the tourney and we’re fine. But what’s frustrating is rolling over like a JV team to the Varsity to certain teams. Even Irvin commented that we got punked on our home floor after the previous losses. Glad we stepped up today against a true low post/rebounding/bruising defensive team.
