I’m a huge proponent of Towns but I’m not going to overvalue him either. I think ESPN has Towns overrated at #57, but he is certainly better than #124 from Rivals (not surprised because Rivals is horrible in terms of basketball). I simply can’t agree with Moyer being a top 20-40 player while Towns is 100-125. Towns is a 70-90 player in my opinion as it currently stands. Thing is that he has shown considerable development with almost every subsequent film we see.

+1 I think he’s shown he can shoot it. I originally wasn’t too thrilled on Towns’ footwork, ball handling, quickness, defense, athleticism, etc but I think I’ve seen what looks like enough improvement to fall where you said (70 - 90 range).

I agree with you that Towns is definitely underrated and Moyer overrated. Personally, I value a skill set like Towns much more than Moyers athleticism, at his current size anyways. I just think that it is tough for these guys to rate all these kids, especially btw 50 and 150, and Towns wouldn’t be the only one who is undervalued. This is where Belien’s ability to spot talent makes him so great and the reason why I give him a pass most of the time on the players that are recruited to Michigan.

Depends on the system. Moyer’s game is tailor made for Syracuse.
I really hope Towns works on his vertical. My only complaint is he has no lift.
Pretty much a compilation of what’ve we’ve already seen

I agree, but at the same stage of development, Towns is essentially Irvin with better ballhandling and footwork.
