My first instinct was that the shorter shot clock would benefit teams that were better at shooting 3 pointers (since teams would have to settle for outside shots more often) and were weaker on interior defense (e.g. Michigan), but the more I think about it, there may be too many other things factoring in to be sure just how it will impact our style of play. It certainly doesn’t seem like it will make less talented teams more competitive.
I like the time out changes, and even wish they had gone further, giving only two time outs per half, with no carry over. That would reward teams that are better coached and more experienced.
