I like this because it makes MSU look extra bad

Wow … that’s a helluva stat line. Pretty Effing impressive from Izzo. (Here’s to his team foundering the rest of 2020-2021!)

Haha. If MSU starts looking better with more data, I’ll have to come up with a different measurement.

Didn’t he win the conference his first season? The bates-diop year?

Finished tied for 2nd with Purdue behind MSU. That was the Bridges Sophomore/JJJ Freshman year

They were a 5 seed but I think they were like 11-7 in conference. That year featured the totally improbable win over MSU with the long Dakich 3 before the half (if my memory is correct).

5 seed in the NCAA tournament, 2 seed in the B1G tournament, 15-3 in conference play.

That season MSU went 16-2, OSU and Purdue went 15-3, and Michigan and Nebraska went 13-5 (and Nebraska missed the tourney). Every other team was .500 or below.

Including the BTT, the Bucknuts went 0-3 against the NIT champion Nittany Lions, 1-1 vs. the Final Four bound Wolverines and 14-0 against the rest of the conference. A very odd season.

Wisconsin has a significantly harder schedule than the other three in top tier. Wisconsin has 6 “within tier” games. The other three teams each have four. Major disadvantage.

And Keira Bates-Diop played like an All American for most of that season.
