I photographed a high school softball game on Thursday that was similar to that. Maybe OSU offered those kids some scholarships on Friday?

Learned today that Michigan’s most dynamic volleyball player, Valentina Vaulet, has portalled to Oregon. She’s Erin Virtue’s first-ever portal-out in three seasons, which is pretty impressive; but she’ll definitely be missed.
Michigan Women’s Softball plays Oregon in the Quarterfinals at 4:30pm EDT on BTN. Going up against the #1 seed is going to be tough for sure.
On the positive side, going into the week one of the main softball brackets has Michigan as one of the last 4 teams out (the last team out in fact). Georgia Tech, one of the last teams in, got run-ruled by Florida State earlier today.
We’re rooting for Indiana, Coastal Carolina, and North Carolina to also lose today.
Michigan women up 5-0 headed to the bottom of the 5th inning against #1 seed Oregon, who has only lost 6 times all season.

And that’ll do it! Michigan upsets 7th ranked and #1 seed Oregon Ducks! That may just be enough to clinch an NCAA berth!

It’s been a season of a lot of close losses against the top teams so it’s great to see them break through!

Another big upset in the Big Ten softball tourney! 12 seed and host Purdue knocks off #4 seed Ohio State. They become the first 12 seed to ever make the semifinals in Big Ten tourney history.
Michigan vs. Purdue tomorrow night for a shot at the championship!
Also entering the day, Michigan was the first team out/first four out on most brackets. North Carolina, Indiana and Georgia Tech, listed as the last four in on most brackets all lost. Great day for Michigan and the tourney bubble!

That’s awesome! Purdue will have the home field advantage (and went 14-4 at home) but we’ve got good momentum. They didn’t face each other in the regular season so there’s not a ton of info to go off of.
Regardless, I have to think we’re a slight favorite.
