Game 9: Iowa at Michigan Open Thread

DDJ gotta be better about taking 1 more step back. 2nd time this year

I love throwing Davis on Garza in spots. Wear Garza down.

Well he wins for “back to back worst shots” for sure.

Great hustle by Teske but DDJ needs to be aware of where the 3 point line is. These long twos are not necessary.

GREAT shift by Johns! Luckily, he doesn’t have to worry about consistency over long stretches. Just needs to be consistent in short bursts, just like right now.

Iowa is pushing off so much on offense and it needs to be called

Best stretch for Johns all year. A bucket, a board on offense and defense, an assist, and good defense.

Franz and BJ having their best games this year.

Ended up being a pretty good crowd. Maybe 90% full?

Yeah one step at a time for sure haha

If he plays under control and smart, he is a plus player. He has great bounce to his game. I think he needs to carve out a roll making all the hustle and gritty plays, then his offense will eventually flow.

Yeah I noticed the crowd was late arriving (and a decent turnout) for the buy game I went to.

Love John’s cut to the basket, like his potential no matter how many disrespect him.

Why is Garza allowed to ram his shoulders into dudes?

“High IQ” and “love to be in the gym” - Jim Jackson loves those Iowa stereotypes.

Those back to back pull up 19 footers by DDJ :face_vomiting:

These refs are calling one game for 9 guys and another for Garza.

Teske is just too strong to flop but he could easily draw an offensive foul or two when Garza just rams him under the basket.
