Hopefully Frankie keeps playing well, improving and takes over our PG spot. His defensive ceiling is much higher. Not there yet of course but at least he can be a good defender

Johns/Williams can fight for spare 8th man minutes. If they arenāt going to spread the floor, play impactful defense or rebound thereās no point to play them.
The fact that Bufkin isnāt even playing makes this kind of unlikely IMO.

Hard to imagine this team being anything going forward without Diabate getting consistently 25-30 minutes.
He just brings too much energy and intangibles to go along with athleticism that genuinely affect the game.
Hate to say it, but Johnās is just a guy.

He is making me proud. I just wanted to see him get a chance to show what he can do and gain from the experience. He does give us a lot more quickness and he can get into the paint. Still has some rough edges to work out.

Yeah, the issue is you need Moussa to play like heās playing tonight or against UNLV, and not like Arizona.
Next month is really key for him IMO to emerge as that guy. Not to get minutes or start or whatever, but because U-M needs him to be an impact player and a consistent player.

At least Williams brings some occasional energy. Johns looks like the least interested player in a kids game out there right now. No excuse for him IMO.

He was shell shocked against Arizona athleticism. Heāll figure it out. That team is damn good. And Koloko was the most impressive big Iāve seen so far this year.

Non-shooting 4s are such structural handicaps in the modern game that they canāt just be just āguysā. They have to bring real production or they canāt exist on a good team.

Iām hoping to see a lot of growth from the team from this point through to the end of the year even if it means we take lumps along the way. The shooting has been better tonight although one of the shots was fortuitous. I think they have to not hesitate to shoot when they have an open shot.
