Game 10: Michigan at Illinois Open Thread

Of course that is not what happened after HIS block.

Cockburn getting ejected for accidentally decking the referee is the only way we get back in this. Ouch.

I’m honestly surprised this doesn’t happen more the way guys celebrate after and 1s.

Cockburn still plays for Illinois, so…no.

Lol, not at all what I’m saying. Just noting that one of the best parts of the early season blowout wins were Michigan taking almost entirely open threes and layups and opponents taking and missing wide open two point jumpers. One team has about 50 points in the paint today and one is hitting a bunch of mid range off the dribble pull ups. Not a good thing

Illinois gacked two big games and we were revenge. Makes me wonder exactly if that is Illinois’s resolve or UM’s weakness es.

Not to throw dirt on the achievement, but as of now, are UNC and Gonzaga overrated?

Great named programs but they both not on the level of their standard.

Yeah, even though they have shot terribly, most of the 3s were good, open looks. I’d rather keep shooting open 3s than contest jumpers in the paint

UNC does not appear to be great. Jury’s out on the Zags.

Happening to me constantly. Feels like old school MGoBlog!

whatevs boys. Just missed a lot of open threes today. Had some sloppy play. Their bigs played great. Learn from it, next up.

Not gonna overreact to this one. Road wins are hard to come by. This isn’t the 5th best team in the country, but I think we knew that. Still a conference title contender and a very good team. Not the best game from anyone, save good-ish shooting nights from Livers, Eli, Teske. Beat the Ducks Saturday and finish the non-conference slate way ahead of my expectations.

I wasn’t really impressed with Illinois at all tonight. Michigan played like crap. Opportunity lost to me, but doesn’t hurt the resume at all.

I don’t think Teske’s been awful on D. He’s had a stop or two, and Cockburn has tossed up some crap and been bailed out. He’s not stoning the guy but he’s not being abused either. Some of that stuff goes up with all the soft touch of a slingshot.

Midrange 2’s are probably the worst way to get back into games. When they go in it gives you false hope, but they do very little in terms of changing momentum.

refs were awful tonight, we deserve this L, but illinois had about everything go right tonight

Livers only attempting three 3s feels like a crime.

I was very impressed. Cockburn is really, really good. First time I can remember Teske just getting plain outplayed in a long time.

What about the last game haha
