Illinois went at DDJ and Livers in the paint. Feliz was very crafty and somehow Giorgi’s shots fell.
I noticed that also it fades sideways.

Wouldn’t count on it. We are abysmal from 3 in our 2 true road games.
But yeah, basically the problem with this game has been three point shooting. Should be up 7.
While I don’t expect us to shoot 40% from deep on the road, I think our looks have been better than our shooting % would indicate. Our 3s against Louisville were not within the flow of the offense, but rather a last ditch effort to try something because they stifled us. Different from tonight IMO.
I understand leaving Teske open but letting Franz get these open looks feels really dangerous. I have to think he’ll start knocking them down eventually

Yes, and if the looks are good, they typically even out over time. I expect we’ll shoot better than 2-12 in the second half if the quality of the looks stay the same.
Michigan has been one of the best shooting teams in the country… gotta keep shooting.

When they go big, they’re giving Franz room to shoot. If he hits, gotta feel good about this one. He can almost shoot whenever.

Yeah if you watch the rotation of the ball, it almost seems like side spin instead of a clean rotation on Franz’s shots. It doesn’t look as pure as you’d think for a guy who is a shooter like him.
