Looks like MAAR is playing for the Saudi Arabia national team in the Asia Cup. Through two games, he’s the leading scorer in the tourney (28.5 ppg) and as long as they beat a pretty weak India team in the last prelim game, looks like they’ll make the playoffs and be heavily favored against Iraq or The Philippines before being facing what will probably be a good Aussie squad.

Saudi Arabia got upset in the play-ins for the quarterfinals by The Philippines. MAAR led the team with 33 pts (12/23 FG, 8/14 from 3, 5 reb, 4 assists). On the slightly plus side, YoYo chipped in with 14 pts, 8 rebs for Lebanon as they beat Japan.
