What’s his 2P%?
I was talking Paolo. One front court creator and one backcourt (Cade.)
Only 43%. I think it’s more fluky than red flag but I could be wrong. He finished well most of the games I watched
There’s strong rumor that Weaver loves Ivey and would be in strong consideration no matter where he’s at top 3.
I rather stay away from Sharpe because he is a huge unknown. If the Pistons do somehow get #7 pick, I would be okay. Top 4? No way
He won’t be there at 7
Not the point of my post.
If Weaver loves Ivey then that’s good enough for me.
The NBA teams will have poked and prodded and given the old-time prostate exam by the time the draft night comes. The unknown for all of them will be will they develop into what they were projected.
Yeah the thing we need to realize is that Sharpe is not nearly the unknown to NBA teams that he is to us.
Not unknown to NBA based on what? Practices and workouts? This isn’t a good substitute to live game tapes. Too much of a gamble at top 5 IMO.
Anyone they draft will almost certainly have played behind closed doors for the team against G League competition and other prospects.
Basically Sharpe
There was a time when getting drafted out if HS was nbd
NBA changed the rule because they were tired of drafting a bunch of busts out of high school. See: Kwame Brown
Korleone Young.
Also, if they were sick of drafting busts……then literally quit drafting high school players lol. No one is forcing them
I think this elides the player union’s role as well
… You can say that about any player. The point is it’s tough to get a great evaluation strictly from high school tape because you rarely if ever play high stakes organized ball until after high school. So teams were significantly more likely to misjudge and changed the rule so they can get more sample size
It slightly benefits the player union but I don’t think there’s really any evidence that it was something the players union drove. More something that they were cool with being implemented. Harder to remove because of that slight benefit though.
Sure yeah. It makes it a little higher variance but obv it worked out a lot as well. It would be interesting to dive into whether the OAD has actually increased draft accuracy
