Detroit Pistons & NBA Talk

Had a friend txt me this morning asking if I’d trade Ivey + Ausar + picks + required cap filler for Giannis. I personally don’t think that would be enough to get it done if Milwaukee was willing to move on though. Ivey’s uncertainty because of his injury and Ausar getting played off the floor this playoff series because of foul trouble, while also being a zero on offense, feels too low. Especially when a team like OKC has even more picks at their disposal and a host of young talent they’d probably include.

He didn’t win the DNA lottery either in terms of body type and how it reacts to slippage in his approach.

It’s gotta feel pretty paradoxical to him because as an offensive engine, he’s just even harder to defend when he’s heavier. It’s really just the health part. He has way too big of a workload to not pick up those baggy injuries at his weight.

No shot that would be enough to get Giannis. OKC, Houston and probably a couple other teams could beat that, not to mention, I doubt Milwaukee wants to trade him within the conference, let alone the division.

Yeah, I guess if it were Houston, Milwaukee would want at least Sengun + Green and picks.

There is no team that can match OKC’s package for anything. It just depends who they want.

Houston I think has the juicier picks

I don’t think Houston can match salary without making their team kind of bad?

I know Giannis is Giannis but I sort of want to see OKC stick with their young guns and see what happens

Van Vleet + filler is pretty easy matching, no? OKC will have to lose at least as much for the matching.

Certainly agree that I don’t want to see Giannis on OKC.

Even though it’s chalk everyone I talk to disagrees with my Thunder-Cavs finals prediction. (Also think the Celtics will have more trouble with NY than conventional wisdom.)

Didn’t the Knicks go 0-10 against the three 60 win teams

I just can’t take Draymond’s sh*t anymore

The guy does enough that would get most players tossed 3/4 different times a game

Forearm shiver to Thompson. Grabs Eason’s jersey, kicks him in the balls, then half heartedly tries to pull his leg out from under him

Wait wait wait

So they found a loophole to keep him in the game by calling it a flagrant and not a technical

Are you f*cking kidding

Another game

Another absolute loss of control by the refs

And now Butler takes Brooks out at the rim and they aren’t going to look at it what the helll

4 techs in the 1st half might get spicy in the 2nd half

Draymond should have been tossed TWICE

When I found out that you could collect 1 fragrant AND 1 technical and still remain in the game

Curious on your rationale there because I think Boston New York is a gentleman’s sweep all day.

Detroit is a fun group but realistically they’re playing several non-playoff rotation guys at once at all times. They’re just not ready yet.

Mazulla is pretty merciless in how he attacks KAT. Drop coverage is impossible against Boston. And Boston has a level on offense that New York just can’t get to.

The Knicks will get one game at the Garden where it’s rocking and they just go on one of those runs. I think the games will be close but Boston just has so much more to attack.

I think the Knicks have a great top 7 and I’m not sure how often they’ve been fully healthy. I think they’ll get at least two.

Sengun is treating Draymond like bbq chicken

How healthy is Tatum? Think that’s prob the big swing factor in Knicks-Celtics.

Draymond committed about at least three fragrant fouls in the game which were not called. And I have never seen a player that can get away with jawing at the referees and in there faces with impunity and nothing happens. I guarantee Draymond will kick someone else in the gonads and the NBA will let it go unless it is a superstar. NBA playoff refs have the hardest job but are also the most inconsistent and most cowardly in the closing moments of games.
